Outreach

Every year the Thesaurus conducts a week-long Summer School to train participants to make the best use of the dictionary and enable them to pursue their own research projects in the archive. The project is in the process of converting to open access publication and simultaneously undertaking full digitization of the archive, thereby pioneering techniques in digital lexicography that may be transferable to comparable projects in other languages.

 

The project itself is 129 years old, but its scholarship, methods, and ambitions are fully modern.
